About this exercise

A bodyweight variation of the Russian twist where both palms tap the floor on each side of the body as the torso rotates, adding a tactile cue to ensure full range of rotation. This version targets the obliques and challenges rotational core stability without any added load.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet slightly raised or flat on the ground
  • Lean your torso back slightly and clasp both hands together in front of your chest
  • Rotate your torso to the right, tapping both palms flat on the floor beside your hip
  • Rotate back through center and over to the left, tapping both palms on the floor beside the left hip
