About this exercise

The Dive Bomber Push-Up is an advanced bodyweight exercise that moves through a sweeping arc from a downward-dog position down and forward into an upward-dog position, then reverses back. It develops upper body strength, shoulder mobility, and core stability simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Start in a downward-dog position with hips raised, forming an inverted V with your body
  • Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows and sweeping your head forward and down
  • Continue the arc, pushing your chest through and lifting it upward into an upward-dog position
  • Keep your hips low and arms extended at the top
  • Reverse the movement, sweeping back through and returning to the downward-dog start position
  • Repeat the full arc for the desired number of reps
