About this exercise

A seated mobility exercise performed on a chair where you reach diagonally across the body to stretch and activate the obliques and core. It improves rotational flexibility and lateral range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Sit upright on the edge of a chair with feet flat on the floor and back straight
  • Raise one arm overhead and lean diagonally across your body, reaching toward the opposite side
  • Feel the stretch along your obliques and side of your torso
  • Hold briefly at the end range, then return to the upright starting position
  • Repeat on the other side, alternating in a controlled rhythm for the desired reps
