About this exercise

A seated core exercise on a chair where the legs move in and out diagonally, targeting the abdominals and obliques. The alternating diagonal pattern increases the range of motion and engages the entire midsection.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the edge of a chair, gripping the sides of the seat for support, with your back slightly reclined
  • Lift both feet off the floor and bring your knees in toward your chest (the "in" position)
  • Extend your legs diagonally outward to one side (the "out" position), keeping them elevated
  • Bring them back in, then extend to the other side in the opposite diagonal
  • Continue alternating sides in a controlled rhythm for the desired repetitions
