About this exercise

An advanced deep squat flexibility stretch where you fold forward from a full squat position and lower your head toward the floor, deeply stretching the hamstrings, glutes, and lower back. This requires significant hip and ankle mobility to perform safely.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width, toes turned outward
  • Lower slowly into a full deep squat with heels flat on the ground
  • Place your hands on the floor in front of you for support
  • Gently lean your torso forward and lower your head toward the floor
  • Hold the stretched position, breathing steadily and relaxing into the stretch
  • Keep your heels grounded and avoid rounding the upper back excessively
  • Slowly return to the upright squat position to complete the rep
