MediumAbs

About this exercise

A crunch variation performed with the lower back resting on a Bosu ball, which increases the range of motion compared to floor crunches and challenges the abs through a fuller arc. The unstable surface also recruits stabiliser muscles for enhanced core activation.

How to Perform

  • Place the Bosu ball flat side down and sit on it, positioning the apex at your lower back
  • Lean back so your lower back is supported by the dome and your feet are flat on the floor
  • Place your hands behind your head or cross them over your chest
  • Exhale and curl your torso upward, bringing your chest toward your knees
  • Pause briefly at the top with your abs fully contracted
  • Slowly lower back down, allowing your spine to extend over the dome for a full stretch
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
