About this exercise

A wall-supported mountain climber variation where you drive alternating knees diagonally across the body toward the opposite elbow, kicking off the wall for added resistance. The wall provides a slight incline that increases core engagement and allows a more controlled cross-body motion. Ideal for building rotational core strength and cardiovascular endurance.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall at arm's length and place both hands firmly on the wall at shoulder height
  • Walk your feet back until your body forms a straight diagonal line from head to heels
  • Brace your core and lift your right knee, driving it diagonally toward your left elbow
  • Kick that foot back out to the starting position and immediately repeat with the left knee toward the right elbow
  • Continue alternating sides at a controlled, steady pace
  • Keep your hips level and avoid rotating your torso excessively
  • Breathe rhythmically throughout the movement
