About this exercise

A cardio exercise that combines the leg action of a jumping jack with alternating cross-body punches, raising the heart rate while engaging the shoulders, core, and obliques. The rotational punch component adds an upper-body and anti-rotation challenge to the classic jack pattern.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and hands at chest height in a light guard position
  • Jump feet out wide while simultaneously throwing a cross-body punch across the midline with one arm
  • Jump feet back together and return the punching arm to the guard position
  • Repeat the jump, punching across the body with the opposite arm this time
  • Keep your core braced and rotate your torso slightly with each punch
  • Maintain a brisk, controlled pace throughout the set
