About this exercise

The Criss Cross Knee Tuck is a floor abdominal exercise that drives alternating knees across the midline toward the opposite elbow, creating a rotational crunch pattern that intensely targets the obliques and deep abs. Each repetition challenges anti-rotation stability and hip flexor control.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with hands behind your head and legs elevated with knees bent at 90 degrees
  • Crunch up and rotate your right shoulder toward your left knee while extending your right leg straight
  • Return to center and immediately switch, rotating your left shoulder toward your right knee while extending your left leg
  • Keep your lower back pressed into the floor throughout the movement
  • Move in a controlled, alternating rhythm for the desired number of repetitions
