About this exercise

A dynamic plyometric cardio exercise performed in place that combines high-knee running with a rotational core movement, bringing opposite elbows and knees together in a crossing pattern. It elevates your heart rate while activating the abs, obliques, and hip flexors simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet hip-width apart and arms bent at the elbows
  • Begin running in place, driving your knees upward
  • As your right knee rises, rotate your torso and bring your left elbow down to meet it
  • Return to centre and immediately raise your left knee while bringing your right elbow to meet it
  • Keep your core braced and maintain a quick, rhythmic alternating pace
  • Continue for the prescribed duration
