About this exercise

A standing chest and shoulder-flexibility exercise using a room corner or door frame. By placing the arms against the walls at a different angle than version 1, this variation targets a slightly different portion of the pectoral fibers, making it a useful complement in a stretching routine.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a corner or a door frame with your feet together or staggered for balance
  • Raise both arms and press your forearms and palms flat against the two walls at the adjusted angle specific to this variation
  • Keep your spine tall and your core lightly engaged
  • Lean your body gently forward into the corner until you feel a comfortable stretch across your chest and the fronts of your shoulders
  • Hold the stretch for the desired duration, breathing steadily
