About this exercise

A flowing mobility exercise that transitions from child's pose through a low push-up arc and back, opening the chest and shoulders while gently stretching the spine and lats. It combines elements of yoga and calisthenics to improve upper-body range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Begin in child's pose with arms extended forward on the mat, hips resting toward your heels, and forehead down
  • Slide your body forward along the floor, lowering your chest close to the ground as you shift toward a plank position
  • Continue the arc upward by pressing through your palms into a low push-up or cobra-like extension
  • Pause briefly to feel the chest and shoulder stretch at the top
  • Reverse the motion, lowering your hips back and sliding into child's pose to complete one rep
