About this exercise

A deep adductor and inner-thigh flexibility stretch where you sit in a wide straddle position facing a wall, leaning your chest toward it for support and to deepen the split. The wall provides feedback and allows you to relax into the stretch progressively.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor facing a wall with your legs spread as wide as comfortable in a straddle position
  • Shuffle your hips close to the wall and place your hands or forearms on the wall for support
  • Lean your chest toward the wall while keeping your spine tall
  • Allow gravity to gently pull your legs wider as you relax into the stretch
  • Keep your toes pointing upward and avoid rounding your lower back
  • Hold the position for the prescribed duration, breathing deeply and relaxing further with each exhale
