About this exercise

The Cable Wrist Curl isolates the wrist flexors and inner forearm muscles using a low cable pulley. The cable provides consistent resistance through the full range of motion, making it effective for building forearm strength and grip endurance.

How to Perform

  • Sit on a bench facing a low cable pulley and attach a straight bar handle
  • Grasp the bar with both hands using an underhand (palms-up) grip
  • Rest your forearms on your thighs, with your wrists hanging just off the edge of your knees
  • Allow the weight to pull your wrists down to full extension
  • Curl your wrists upward as high as possible, contracting your forearm flexors
  • Slowly lower your wrists back to the extended position under control
