About this exercise

A standing forearm exercise using a cable machine with a straight bar, where you roll your wrists in a continuous motion to flex and extend the wrist joint against cable resistance. It trains both the wrist flexors and extensors through a full rotational range.

How to Perform

  • Attach a straight bar to a low cable pulley and stand facing the machine
  • Grip the bar with both hands shoulder-width apart, palms facing down
  • Hold the bar at hip or waist height with arms slightly bent
  • Roll your wrists downward by flexing them (wrist curl motion), then extend them back upward
  • Continue rolling in a smooth, rhythmic motion for the prescribed reps
  • Keep your elbows and upper arms relatively stationary throughout
