Cable One Arm Inner Biceps Curl

Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Cable One Arm Inner Biceps Curl.

MediumBiceps

About this exercise

The cable one arm inner biceps curl targets the short (inner) head of the biceps by positioning the working arm slightly in front of the torso and using a low cable for continuous tension throughout the range of motion. The cable keeps constant load on the muscle in a way free weights cannot, making it excellent for hypertrophy.

How to Perform

  • Set the cable pulley to the lowest position and attach a single-handle
  • Stand facing the machine and grip the handle with one hand, palm facing up
  • Position your elbow slightly in front of your torso and keep your upper arm stationary
  • Curl the handle upward toward your shoulder, focusing tension on the inner biceps
  • Supinate your wrist slightly at the top to fully contract the biceps
  • Slowly lower the handle back to the starting position with a controlled eccentric
  • Complete all reps on one arm before switching to the other
