About this exercise

A cable tricep kickback performed with a neutral (palms-facing-in) grip, using a rope attachment at a mid-height pulley. The cable provides constant tension throughout the range of motion, making it highly effective for tricep isolation.

How to Perform

  • Set the cable pulley to approximately waist height and attach a rope handle
  • Stand facing the machine and hinge forward slightly at the hips
  • Grasp the rope with both hands using a neutral grip, upper arms pinned parallel to the floor
  • Extend your elbows fully to push the rope back and outward
  • Squeeze your triceps hard at the top of the movement
  • Slowly return to the starting position with controlled elbow flexion
