MediumBiceps

About this exercise

A biceps isolation exercise performed lying on the floor with a low-pulley cable, which creates a unique pulling angle that maintains constant tension on the biceps throughout the entire range of motion. The lying position eliminates cheating with the lower back or momentum.

How to Perform

  • Set the cable pulley to its lowest position and attach a straight bar or single-D handle
  • Lie on your back with your head near the pulley and your legs extended toward the machine
  • Grip the handle with both hands (or one hand if using a single handle), arms fully extended
  • Keep your upper arms flat on the floor throughout the movement
  • Curl the handle toward your forehead by flexing your elbows
  • Squeeze the biceps at peak contraction
  • Slowly extend your arms back to the starting position against the cable's resistance
