Performed on an incline bench positioned in front of a low cable pulley, this curl stretches the biceps fully at the bottom and emphasizes the inner (short) head through the complete range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Set a low cable pulley and attach a straight-bar handle
  • Position an adjustable bench at a 45–60° incline angle facing away from the cable stack
  • Sit on the bench and grasp the handle with an underhand grip, arms hanging down and slightly behind you
  • Curl the handle upward toward your shoulders while keeping your upper arms stationary
  • Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower back to the fully stretched starting position
