How to Perform

  • Attach a V-bar to a low cable pulley and set an appropriate weight
  • Stand facing the cable stack, feet shoulder-width apart, and grip the V-bar with both hands at chest height
  • Brace your core and keep your elbows up to maintain an upright torso
  • Inhale and squat down by pushing your knees out and sitting back until your thighs are parallel to the floor
  • Pause briefly at the bottom, then drive through your heels to return to the starting position
  • Keep tension on the cable throughout the movement
