About this exercise

A dynamic cardio combination that pairs butt kicks with jumping jacks to elevate heart rate and warm up the entire lower body. The alternating pattern challenges coordination while delivering a continuous aerobic stimulus.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides
  • Perform a butt kick by jogging in place and driving one heel up toward your glutes, then the other
  • After a set number of butt kicks, transition into a jumping jack by jumping your feet out wide while raising both arms overhead
  • Land softly with slightly bent knees, then jump feet back together and lower your arms
  • Continue alternating between butt kicks and jumping jacks in a smooth, rhythmic flow
  • Keep your core braced throughout and maintain an upright posture
