About this exercise

The Boxing Right-Left Hook Combo is a dynamic striking sequence that develops rotational power, coordination, and cardiovascular endurance. Alternating hooks from both sides engages the shoulders, core, and obliques while keeping your heart rate elevated.

How to Perform

  • Stand in a fighting stance with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and hands raised to guard position
  • Pivot on your back foot and drive a right hook in a horizontal arc, rotating your hips and shoulders into the punch
  • Without pausing, shift your weight and pivot on your front foot to throw a left hook from the opposite side
  • Keep your elbow at roughly 90 degrees on each hook and aim at chin height on an imaginary target
  • Snap each fist back to guard position after contact
  • Maintain core tension and stay on the balls of your feet throughout the combination
  • Repeat the sequence at a controlled, rhythmic pace for the desired number of rounds or repetitions
