About this exercise

A plyometric landing drill where you step off a box and absorb the impact with both feet simultaneously. It trains deceleration mechanics, leg stiffness, and proper bilateral landing technique.

How to Perform

  • Stand on top of a box or step with feet hip-width apart
  • Step off the edge and drop toward the floor
  • Land on both feet simultaneously, absorbing impact through your ankles, knees, and hips
  • Land quietly with soft knees and your torso slightly forward over your feet
  • Hold the landing position briefly to reinforce control before resetting
  • Keep your core braced and spine neutral throughout
  • Reset on the box and repeat for the desired number of reps
