EasyQuadriceps

About this exercise

A front squat variation using water bottles or similar household containers as improvised weights held at shoulder height, making it an accessible home-training alternative to barbell or dumbbell front squats. It emphasizes the quadriceps, core stability, and upright torso positioning.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and toes pointed slightly outward
  • Hold a water bottle in each hand at shoulder height, elbows elevated and pointing forward to maintain an upright rack position
  • Brace the core and take a deep breath
  • Squat down by pushing the knees out in line with the toes and sitting the hips back and down
  • Keep the chest tall and elbows up to prevent the torso from tipping forward
  • Descend until the thighs are parallel to the floor or as deep as mobility allows
  • Drive through the heels to stand back up to the starting position
