About this exercise

A dynamic plyometric exercise performed on a BOSU ball that combines a step-up, an explosive high-knee drive, and a rotational air twist to challenge balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness. The unstable surface of the BOSU ball intensifies core engagement throughout the movement.

How to Perform

  • Place a BOSU ball flat side down on the floor and stand facing it
  • Step one foot onto the dome of the BOSU ball and drive through that leg to step up
  • As you reach the top, explosively drive the opposite knee up toward your chest
  • Simultaneously rotate your torso and arms in the air toward the raised knee (air twist)
  • Land softly with the stepping foot back on the BOSU ball dome
  • Control your descent and return to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching, or alternate sides each rep
