About this exercise

A squat variation where you hold a kettlebell at chest height in a goblet position while standing on the dome of a BOSU ball, combining lower-body strength with balance and core stability demands. The unstable surface recruits additional stabilizing muscles compared to a standard floor goblet squat.

How to Perform

  • Place a BOSU ball flat side down on the floor
  • Pick up a kettlebell and hold it vertically at chest height with both hands cupping the bell
  • Step onto the dome of the BOSU ball with both feet at shoulder width, finding your balance
  • Keep your chest up, core braced, and elbows pointing down
  • Lower into a squat by pushing your hips back and bending your knees until your thighs are roughly parallel to the floor
  • Drive through both feet to press back up to standing
  • Maintain an upright torso and controlled balance throughout each rep
