About this exercise

A multi-pattern lower-body exercise on a BOSU ball that links a squat, an alternating heel touch, and a side kick in one fluid sequence, developing balance, hip mobility, and leg strength simultaneously. The unstable surface heightens core demand and proprioceptive challenge.

How to Perform

  • Stand with both feet on the dome of the BOSU ball, feet hip-width apart
  • Lower into a squat, keeping your chest up and knees tracking over your toes
  • At the bottom of the squat, reach one hand down to touch the heel on the same side
  • Rise back to standing and immediately extend the opposite leg out to the side in a controlled side kick
  • Return the kicking leg to the BOSU ball and repeat the squat with the heel touch on the other side
  • Continue alternating the heel touch and side kick with each rep
  • Maintain an upright torso and stable core throughout
