About this exercise

How to Perform

  • Place your front foot on a step or low platform and step your rear foot back into a staggered split stance
  • Stand tall with hands on hips or crossed at your chest for balance
  • Lower your rear knee toward the floor by bending both knees until your front thigh is roughly parallel to the ground
  • Keep your front knee tracking over your toes and your torso upright
