About this exercise

A bodyweight triceps exercise performed kneeling on the floor, where you lower your head toward the ground by bending at the elbows and push back up to full extension. It mimics a skull crusher motion using only body weight, making it an accessible way to train the triceps without equipment.

How to Perform

  • Kneel on the floor and place your hands flat on the ground, shoulder-width apart, fingers pointing forward
  • Walk your hands forward slightly so your body forms a diagonal line from knees to shoulders
  • Engage your core and keep your hips in line with your torso throughout the movement
  • Slowly bend your elbows and lower the top of your head toward the floor, keeping your upper arms parallel
  • Stop when your head nearly touches the floor or your elbows reach roughly 90 degrees
  • Press through your palms to extend your elbows and return to the starting position
  • Keep your hips from sagging or rising during the movement
