About this exercise

A full-body bodyweight exercise combining a deep squat with an overhead arm press, training leg strength, shoulder mobility, and core stability simultaneously. The movement mimics the pattern of a squat-to-press without any external load, making it ideal for warm-ups, mobility work, and conditioning circuits.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms at your sides
  • Begin the squat by pushing your hips back and bending your knees, descending into a full squat
  • Keep your chest tall and heels flat on the floor throughout the descent
  • At the bottom of the squat, bring your hands to shoulder height with palms facing forward
  • Drive through your heels to stand up, simultaneously pressing your arms overhead
  • Fully extend your legs and arms at the top with biceps by your ears
