About this exercise

A bodyweight biceps isolation exercise performed seated, where you brace the back of your upper arm against your inner thigh and use the opposing leg as resistance to curl the forearm upward. This move develops peak biceps contraction and mind-muscle connection without any equipment.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the edge of a bench or chair with feet flat on the floor and knees bent at roughly 90 degrees
  • Place the back of your upper arm firmly against your inner thigh, just above the knee
  • Grip your opposite wrist or make a fist with your curling hand and press it upward while your leg resists by pressing downward
  • Curl your forearm up toward your shoulder, squeezing your biceps hard at the top
  • Slowly lower back to the starting position under control, maintaining leg resistance throughout
  • Complete all reps on one arm before switching to the other side
