About this exercise

The Bent-Knee Lying Twist is a supine rotational movement that gently mobilizes the spine and stretches the obliques and lower back. It is commonly used as a warm-up, cool-down, or recovery drill to release tension built up from sitting or heavy training.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor
  • Extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder height, palms facing down
  • Keeping your shoulders pressed to the floor, slowly lower both knees together to one side
