About this exercise

A full-body conditioning exercise that combines the classic jumping jack movement with simultaneous battling rope waves, elevating heart rate while building shoulder endurance and coordination. The ropes add resistance to the arm motion, increasing the cardiovascular and muscular demand.

How to Perform

  • Stand at the anchor point of the battling ropes with feet together, holding one rope end in each hand at hip level
  • Jump your feet out to shoulder width while simultaneously raising both arms outward and upward to create rope waves
  • Jump your feet back together while lowering your arms back to hip level
  • Keep the rope waves continuous and controlled throughout each rep
  • Maintain an upright posture and brace your core to stabilize against the rope tension
  • Land softly with each jump, keeping a slight bend in your knees
  • Continue for the target reps or duration at a steady rhythm
