About this exercise

A compound combination exercise that links a barbell curl, an overhead press, and a triceps extension into a single fluid movement. It targets the biceps, deltoids, and triceps in sequence, making it an efficient upper-arm and shoulder conditioning drill.

How to Perform

  • Stand holding a barbell with an underhand grip, arms extended and bar at hip level
  • Curl the barbell up to shoulder height in a standard biceps curl
  • Rotate your grip to overhand and press the barbell overhead to full arm extension
  • From overhead, lower the bar behind your head into a triceps extension position
  • Extend your elbows to return the bar overhead, then reverse the press and curl back to the start
  • Maintain a braced core and neutral spine throughout
