About this exercise

A triceps isolation exercise performed with a resistance band, where you hinge forward and extend the arm back to full lockout. The band provides continuous tension throughout the movement, making it an excellent complement to free-weight triceps work.

How to Perform

  • Anchor the resistance band low or step on one end and hold the other end in one hand
  • Hinge forward at the hips until your torso is nearly parallel to the floor, upper arm tucked close to your side
  • With your elbow bent at roughly 90 degrees, extend your forearm back until your arm is fully straightened
  • Squeeze the triceps at full extension, then slowly return to the start position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching arms
