A resistance-band Romanian deadlift variation where the back remains flat throughout the movement, targeting the hamstrings and glutes through a controlled hip hinge. The band provides accommodating resistance that increases as you return to the standing position.

How to Perform

  • Stand on the middle of the resistance band with feet hip-width apart, holding both ends at your sides
  • Set your back flat and maintain a neutral spine position throughout the entire exercise
  • Hinge at the hips and push them back, lowering the band handles toward the floor
  • Feel a deep stretch in your hamstrings at the bottom, keeping a slight bend in your knees
  • Drive your hips forward to return to the upright position, squeezing your glutes at the top
