About this exercise

The Band Standing Hammer Curl is a biceps and brachioradialis exercise performed with a resistance band. Standing on the band and holding each end with a neutral (palms-facing) grip trains the biceps and forearms through a full curl range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, each foot stepping on the center of a resistance band
  • Hold one end of the band in each hand with palms facing each other (neutral grip)
  • Keep your elbows close to your sides and your torso upright
  • Curl both hands up toward your shoulders while maintaining the neutral grip throughout
  • Squeeze your biceps at the top, then slowly lower back to the starting position
