About this exercise

A chest press performed with a resistance band anchored at a low position, pressing upward and forward to target the upper chest. The ascending resistance of the band provides a functional challenge that is easy to scale for any level.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a resistance band low behind you or step on it near your heels
  • Hold the band in both hands at chest height with elbows bent, palms facing down
  • Stand in a staggered stance for stability
  • Press both hands forward and slightly upward until your arms are fully extended
  • Squeeze the upper chest at full extension
  • Slowly return your hands back to the starting position with control
