About this exercise

An alternating chest press with a resistance band anchored at a low position, pressing each arm forward and upward in turn. Alternating arms increases time under tension and challenges core stability with each unilateral push.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a resistance band low behind you or step on it near your heels
  • Hold the band in both hands at chest height with elbows bent
  • Stand in a staggered stance for stability
  • Press one arm forward and slightly upward until fully extended while keeping the other hand in place
  • Squeeze the chest at full extension, then return that arm with control
  • Immediately press the opposite arm forward in the same motion
  • Continue alternating arms for the desired number of reps
