EasyBiceps

About this exercise

The band incline biceps curl is performed seated on an incline bench with a resistance band anchored under the feet, providing a stretched starting position that maximises the range of motion and time under tension for the biceps. The incline angle prevents the elbows from drifting forward, isolating the long head of the biceps effectively.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a 45–60 degree incline and sit back, stepping both feet on the centre of a resistance band
  • Hold one end of the band in each hand with arms hanging straight down and palms facing forward
  • Keeping your elbows pinned close to your sides, curl both hands upward toward your shoulders
  • Squeeze the biceps hard at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower your hands back to the fully extended starting position under control
  • Avoid swinging your torso or letting the elbows travel forward during the curl
