A resistance band overhead triceps extension performed with the band anchored at a high point above and behind you. This variation emphasizes the long head of the triceps by placing the arms overhead, creating a deep stretch at the bottom of each rep.

How to Perform

  • Anchor the resistance band securely at a high point above and behind you
  • Stand facing away from the anchor, grasp the band with both hands and raise your arms overhead
  • Position your elbows close to your ears with your forearms lowered behind your head
  • Keep your upper arms stationary and press your forearms upward until your arms are fully extended
  • Slowly lower the band back to the starting position under control
  • Keep your core braced and avoid arching your lower back throughout
