About this exercise

The band front raise targets the anterior deltoid by raising both arms straight in front of the body against the resistance of a band. Anchoring the band underfoot provides consistent tension from the starting position all the way to shoulder height.

How to Perform

  • Stand on the center of the resistance band with feet hip-width apart, holding one end in each hand
  • Let your arms hang in front of your thighs with palms facing down
  • Keeping a slight bend in your elbows, raise both arms forward until they reach shoulder height
  • Avoid swinging or using momentum — keep the movement slow and controlled
  • Hold for a moment at the top, then lower your arms back to the starting position
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
