About this exercise

A unilateral chest press performed with one arm pressing across the body against resistance band tension. The cross-body path increases the rotational demand on the core while isolating each side of the chest independently.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a resistance band at about chest height to one side of your body
  • Stand side-on to the anchor point and grip the band with the hand nearest to it
  • Position your feet shoulder-width apart in a slight stagger for stability
  • Press your arm forward and across your body, extending fully toward the opposite side
  • Squeeze the chest at the end of the press
  • Slowly return your hand back to the starting position with control
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching
