Band Concentration Curl

Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Band Concentration Curl.

EasyBiceps

About this exercise

The band concentration curl isolates the biceps by anchoring a resistance band at a low point and curling the arm while bracing the elbow against the inner thigh. This position eliminates body swinging and focuses the load directly on the biceps for a deep, controlled contraction.

How to Perform

  • Anchor the resistance band at floor level and sit on a bench or chair
  • Sit with your feet apart and lean forward slightly, holding the band in one hand
  • Brace the back of your upper arm against the inside of your thigh
  • With your palm facing up, curl your hand toward your shoulder
  • Squeeze your biceps firmly at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower your arm back to the starting position with full control
  • Complete all reps on one arm, then switch sides
