About this exercise

A gentle cervical extension stretch that lengthens the muscles along the front of the neck, including the sternocleidomastoid and scalenes. It counteracts the forward-head posture that builds up from prolonged sitting and screen use.

How to Perform

  • Slowly tilt your head backward, lifting your chin toward the ceiling
  • Stop at the point where you feel a comfortable stretch along the front of the neck — do not force the range
  • Relax your jaw and breathe steadily throughout
  • Hold for 15–30 seconds
  • Return your head to neutral slowly and mindfully
