About this exercise

The Arms Up Rotational Side Step is a dynamic plyometric movement that combines lateral footwork with an overhead rotational arm swing, training coordination, core rotational stability, and lower-body agility at the same time.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and raise both arms overhead
  • Step to the right with your right foot, rotating your torso and arms toward the right
  • Bring your left foot to meet the right foot as you return arms to centre overhead
  • Continue stepping laterally for the desired number of reps, then repeat in the opposite direction
  • Keep arms extended and swing through the rotation with control
  • Engage your core throughout to support the rotational movement
