About this exercise

A dynamic rotational exercise performed with arms spread wide, where you sweep in a circular arc to alternately touch each hand to the opposite foot. The movement warms up the waist, stretches the obliques and hamstrings, and promotes spinal rotation mobility.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart and arms extended out to your sides at shoulder height
  • Keeping your legs straight or slightly bent, hinge forward and rotate to bring your right hand down toward your left foot
  • Continue the circular arc, sweeping your arm across toward the floor and then back up
  • Rise to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side, bringing your left hand toward your right foot
