About this exercise

A standing plyometric drill that combines alternating knee drives with a rotational torso twist, targeting the core and obliques while elevating the heart rate. The twisting motion adds a rotational challenge that improves athletic performance and functional conditioning.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and hands clasped in front of your chest or fists raised
  • Lift one knee up toward your chest while rotating your torso to bring the opposite elbow toward the rising knee
  • Lower the foot back to the floor with control
  • Immediately drive the other knee up while twisting the torso to the opposite side
  • Alternate sides in a continuous, rhythmic motion
  • Keep your core braced and avoid leaning excessively backward
  • Drive through your standing foot and stay on the balls of your feet for agility
  • Breathe steadily and increase pace as your coordination improves
