The Alternate Toe Tap Leg Lift is a bodyweight core exercise performed lying on your back where you alternately raise each straight leg toward the ceiling and reach the opposite hand to tap your toes. It emphasizes the abs and hip flexors while demanding coordination and control through the full range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with legs extended and arms at your sides
  • Press your lower back firmly into the floor and brace your core
  • Lift your right leg straight up toward the ceiling while reaching your left hand to tap your right foot
  • Slowly lower the right leg back to the floor
  • Lift your left leg toward the ceiling while reaching your right hand to tap your left foot
  • Slowly lower the left leg and return to the starting position
  • Continue alternating sides in a controlled rhythm
