The Alternate Leg Lift Twist is a bodyweight core exercise performed on the floor that combines alternating straight-leg raises with a twisting crunch, targeting the abdominals and obliques through a compound movement pattern.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with legs extended and hands lightly behind your head or crossed over your chest
  • Raise your right leg toward the ceiling while simultaneously twisting your upper body toward the right
  • Lower your right leg and right shoulder back to the floor with control
  • Raise your left leg and twist your upper body to the left
  • Keep your lower back pressed toward the floor throughout the movement
  • Alternate sides in a smooth, controlled rhythm
